"Flower Power Cupcake VI"- Cupcake Art- Three Dimensional Mixed Media & Collage, on a 5x7x3/4 cradled artist's wooden panel

@ Cristina Del Sol
Painting continues all around. It can be hung as-is, does not require glass or frame or can sit on a shelf on its own. The glazing was piped with Golden Heavy Molding Paste. When it dried,  "Hologram Pearl" Spectral Colour by Tri-Art was painted on top. The  silk flower was assembled and painted by hand. The cake texture is Golden Lava Stone.

The entire background was done with Micaceous Iron Oxide with a palette knife, a more expensive metallic acrylic paint available in heavy texture (Golden) and also fluid (TriArt). Real copper, Stainless Steel and aluminum foil were also used.
A very metallic and sparkly cupcake done for a contemporary kitchen with lots of copper and stainless steel.
The recipe that inspired this painting is the "Classic Red Velvet Cupcake". Can be found in one of my previous posts :"Red Velvet Cupcake II"
